Taking that little Yella Tag and turning it into the biggest producer of pressure-treated pine took some hard work. It was about determination, good people, and knowing that being on the cutting edge takes more than just a saw. Wasn't that long ago that YellaWood’s owner, president and CEO Jimmy Rane, was wrapping up law school when he had the opportunity to take over a floundering treatment plant in his hometown. He’ll be the first to tell you that he didn't know a 2x4 from a 2x6. But what he saw was potential. And his vision and hard work eventually grew a small-town, three-man fence post treating plant into the industry leader.
